The ‘2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards’ will be held in Hong Kong on November 30th.
Cable channel Mnet revealed on October 15th, “Our year end music cum awards festival ‘2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards’ (MAMA) will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre which is fast becoming the centrepoint of Asian culture.”
This year’s awards ceremony will continue from last year’s theme of ‘Music Makes One’. Besides singers from Korea, top singers from many other countries will also be attending, and break boundaries with music.
The MNET boss expressed, “’MAMA’ is a representative awards ceremony in Asia, and 2012 will mark the 4th year, and thus more important than in previous years. Having held ‘MAMA’ in Macau and Singapore in previous years for all of Asia, we have decided on Hong Kong for this year to show the might of Asian culture with K-POP at its centre.”
