Actor Abhay Deol has been known for experimenting with characters and from a superhero to a happy-go-lucky conman to an alcoholic lover, the Deol dude has played it all. Now, the acclaimed actor, who will be next seen playing the role of a South Indian IAS officer in Shanghai, claims that playing the role of T.A Krishnan was the most difficult role he has ever played.
In an interview, the Dev D star was quoted saying, "It was more difficult because my character Krishnan's background of a religious and God-fearing person, his job as a powerful government official, the language he speaks, the walls he builds around himself and his inherent coldness were all difficult for me to identify with."
Apart from Abhay Deol, the political thriller Shanghai, which has been directed by Dibakar Banerjee, also stars Emraan Hashmi and Kalki Koechlin in lead roles.
