Andy Lau to begin concert tour in China
19 Jun – Hong Kong star Andy Lau recently announced that he will begin his concert tour in China this September.
As reported on Groove Asia, the actor stated that he will commence training and rehearsing for the tour as soon as the promotional activities for "Switch" and "Blind Detective" ends in July.
Since Andy has not held an indoor concert in mainland for almost 10 years, it was reported that the concert organisers have invested around HKD 100 million to recreate the four-sided Hong Kong Coliseum stage design in Shanghai, and expanded the stage so that the singer-actor may interact better with audiences.
Andy has also organised a repertoire for the show and will be singing many of his classic songs. The show will begin in Shanghai before moving on to several other locations around mainland China, including Nanjing (4 to 5 October), Guangzhou (16 to 18 October), and Beijing (30 Oct to 1 Nov).
