Arnold Schwarzenegger and his estranged wife Maria Shriver are “not in counselling.”
The pair split last summer after news emerged that Arnold had fathered a secret child with their housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena 14 years earlier.
The New York Post reported that Maria, a devout Catholic, was having trouble moving forward with the divorce due to religious reasons. The publication also suggested that Arnold had learned the error of his ways and wanted to patch things up with his wife.
However, American magazine Us Weekly has learned that the pair aren’t at all interested in reuniting romantically.
“[Arnold and Maria] are not reconciling and not in counselling,” a source told the publication.
The pair are reportedly on reasonable terms with each other for their children’s sake only.
“[T]hey are being parents together [to their four children],” the insider revealed. “They will continue to be seen together because of their family but they are not reconciling.”
Maria filed for divorce on July 1 after news broke of Arnold’s infidelity, but the pair have since been spotted out together.
They wed in 1986 and have young adult children Katherine, 22, Christina, 20, Patrick, 18, and Christopher, 14 together.
