"Avengers" tewas di tangan "Men In Black 3"

28 Mei – Filem box office "Men In Black 3" telah berjaya mendapat AS$55 juta (RM172 juta) pada minggu pertama ia ditayangkan, sekaligus menewaskan filem superhero "Marvel's The Avengers" untuk berada di tangga kedua.

Dipetik daripada Hollywood.com, filem "Marvel's The Avengers" mendapat AS$37 juta (RM116 juta) pada minggu pertama ia ditayangkan, walaubagaimana pun telah mencipta sejarahnya tersendiri apabila "Marvel's The Avengers" merupakan filem paling cepat mendapat kutipan melebihi angka lima ratus juta iaitu sebanyak AS$513.7 juta (RM1.6 billion) dalam masa 23 hari tayangannya.

Filem lakonan penyanyi terkenal, Rihanna, "Battleship" berada di tempat ketiga dengan kutipan sebanyak AS$44.2 juta (RM138.9 juta), manakala filem "The Dictator" di tempat ke empat dengan AS$41.4 juta (RM130.2 juta) dan tempat ke lima "Chernobyl Diaries" dengan AS$8 juta (RM25 juta).
