"The Battle Of Tomorrow" looks at prison industry

3 Nov – TVB's latest upcoming series, "The Battle Of Tomorrow", has garnered the most attention from viewers as it depicts the life and challenges of correctional officers and the correctional industry for the first time.

According to HK Channel website, among the 16 new projects that have been pitched, the prison drama was the one that viewers seemed to anticipate the most, as not only it stars one of TVB's beloved actors, Lawrence Ng, but also deals with the daily routines and challenges faced by prison guards.

"The Battle Of Tomorrow", which will also star Kate Tsui and Vincent Wong, described the life of the officers in Hong Kong Correctional Services, a disciplined department responsible for handling inmates and prison facilities.

In the trailer that was filmed for the upcoming TVB sales presentation, Kate Tsui plays a love-struck assistant officer who would do anything including taking a knife for the man she loves (played by Lawrence Ng).

Meanwhile, in another story arc, Vincent Wong plays the role of a troubled officer who was incarcerated after committing a crime.

The cast will also star Joyce Tang, singer Jonathan Wong, Matthew Ko, Candice Chiu, as well as beauty queen Jacqueline Wong in her first major role ever.

Produced by Lam Chi Wah, "The Battle Of Tomorrow" will begin filming early next year in several actual prison located in Hong Kong.
