Brandon Routh and his wife, Courtney Ford, have welcomed their first child.

Courtney gave birth to son Leo James on Friday, according to People.

The baby weighed in at 8 pounds.

"We're in awe ... we can't take our eyes off him!" the couple told the mag, while Brandon, 32, added his wife is a "rock star."

Courtney, 34 (best known for her roles on "True Blood" and "Parenthood"), and "Superman Returns" star Brandon met in 2003 and married in 2007. They confirmed they were expecting a child in March.

In addition to his new role as a father, Brandon will soon be seen on the upcoming CBS comedy, "Partners," set to premiere on September 24 at 8:30 PM.
