Bruce Lee's fans are dissatisfied

22 Jul – 2013 marks the 40th year of Bruce Lee's passing and fans of the legendary martial arts actor complained that the Chinese government has not done enough to honour him.

As reported on Sky, despite the anniversary events that was held last weekend which include gallery shows, exhibitions and event street graffiti, fans are furious that the city government has not bought Lee's former mansion to turn into a museum.

According to the President of Hong Kong's Bruce Lee Fan Club, Wong Yiu Keung, "They kept using his name when promoting the city for tourism, but they have actually done nothing to honour the man himself."

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong government teamed up with the Bruce Lee Foundation to put together an exhibition to showcase the late star's famous movies, costumes as well as artworks and a 3.5 metre statue.

His daughter Shannon Lee, stated, "I hope the exhibition will help to show a more complete picture by showing his personal side and the hard work he put into making his movies."

Born in San Francisco and raised in Hong Kong, Bruce Lee passed away at the age of 32 due to an allergic reaction to painkillers. His final and most popular movie, "Enter The Dragon" was released posthumously.
