Cameron Diaz has decided to write a book on the importance of eating right for teen girls.
The actress will be the latest celeb to turn her hand to passing on her pearls of wisdom, following in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow.
A deal has not yet been made, but apparently Cameron has signed with a literary agent and there are plans for her to do high school visits to speak as well.
The Charlie’s Angels actress announced earlier in the year that she would be launching her own well-being organisation, so the book will be the next step.
A source told E! online “She wants to stop their fixation on being thin, and for teenage girls to understand that being healthy is more important. She wants to use her celebrity to make a difference. She knows she is a role model to girls and she really wants to use that position to do good. This book is not about weight, it’s about making the right choices”
The book will not be about trying to look like Diaz or a diet plan: “This book isn’t about her. And it’s not a diet of any kind. Of course, it’s her own journey that has helped her realise what’s important, but she wants the book to appeal to everyone, and not just be about her own food choices.”
We’ll be interested to see what it says. Do you think your children would take advice on healthy eating better from a celebrity?
