Charlene Choi stars in Chapman To's new production

26 Feb – Hong Kong singer-actress Charlene Choi has recently confirmed her participation in a new movie to be produced by comedy actor, Chapman To.

According to On CC, Charlene will be starring in "Que Sera Sera", a movie produced by Chapman To's film company. She will play the role of a female reporter who finds herself caught up in a series of incidents after rescuing a child prostitute in Thailand.

The movie, which will be helmed by director Herman Yau, will begin filming in Chiang Mai, Thailand and Hong Kong in March.

Chapman revealed that he first thought about the idea while he was in a photography session for Anti-Slavery Day, which also involved Charlene.

"I thought at first that this kind of thing happens every day. So I thought about writing a script about it. We wanted to film it in Thailand first, but due to the political instability in the area, we will start in Hong Kong," said Chapman.

While speaking about Charlene's role, Chapman revealed that there will be some explicit scenes involving her and co-star Simon Yam.

Chapman said, "I believe that this movie will be Charlene's biggest breakthrough, so she have to put in a lot of work to prepare for it."

He also expressed his utmost confidence in Herman Yau, saying that the "Ip Man: The Final Fight" director is capable in handling such a controversial topic.
