Chow Yun Fat not celebrating 40th year in showbiz

9 Sep – This year marks the 40th anniversary for legendary actor Chow Yun Fat in the entertainment industry. However, when asked how Chow will be celebrating his 40th year, he simply answered, "I would celebrate the fact that I am not dead yet!"

Sina Taiwan website reported that the 58-year-old actor, who was seen at the filming set of his upcoming Lunar New Year movie, "From Vegas to Macau" in Macau, was in a cheerful mood while talking about his 40 years of experience in acting and shared that he joined the TVB training class in 1973.

When asked about his most favourite project, the actor stated, "Over the 100 films I've participated in, my three most favourite projects would be "A Better Tomorrow" (1986), "An Autumn's Tale" (1987), and "The Killer" (1989)."

However, Chow admitted that his films are not as many as Kwan Tak Hing or Andy Lau, since he made more television series in his earlier days rather than movies.

When asked how he will be celebrating his anniversary in showbiz, Chow light-heartedly answered that he will celebrate the fact that he is still alive and added jokingly, "I will keep on working until my brain is too old to remember the lines, or until someone says, 'Go home, uncle. Don't try to hinder the world from turning!'."
