Chow Yun Fat to star in "Cold War 2"

18 Feb – The "The Last Tycoon" star Chow Yun Fat is considering joining Aaron Kwok in the sequel to last year's box office thriller "Cold War", according to Jayne Stars.

It was reported that in Sunny Luk and Longman Leung's "Cold War 2", Chow will play a villainous role who kidnap the family members of DCP Sean Lau, played by Aaron.

Director Sunny has officially confirmed that the shooting of the sequel will begin at the end of 2013 but he refused to disclose whether Chow was set to star in his film alongside Aaron, Tony Leung Ka-Fai and veteran Kenneth Tsang.

In a phone interview with Chow's wife and manager, Jasmine Tan, she said, "We've had preliminary discussions. The script is not even out yet, so let's wait until he reads the script first! As long as the script is good, it doesn't matter if it's a Hong Kong film, a co-production film, or a Hollywood film."

She added, "Fat Gor is also currently in talks to do several other films this year as well. In April, he will film Wong Jing's new movie. In the second half of the year, he will film an American movie."

Meanwhile, Aaron had shown his excitement to star opposite Fat Gor on his Weibo.

"I look forward to collaborating with Fat Gor again!" he said.
