Chris O'Dowd's dog was nearly a ring bearer at his wedding.
The Bridesmaids actor married long-term partner, TV presenter-and-writer Dawn Porter, last month. Chris has been quizzed about whether the ceremony had any Bridesmaids-style mishaps.
"No, but there were ongoing negotiations with our dog, Potato, to be the ring bearer," he quipped in an interview with British magazine Closer.
Chris' profile has risen significantly since appearing in the hit comedy, which also stars Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Rose Byrne.
The 32-year-old Irish star wasn't always so accepted though.
"I was really tall when I was young - I was like 6ft when I was 11. Pelican was a common nickname. I had tall, gangly legs and ambled across the football field. More length than girth," he laughed.
"I didn't have an imaginary friend but I did talk to myself a lot. And that's kind of the same thing."
