Daniel Henney Joins Chinese Romantic Comedy Movie, ‘F.I.P’ Opposite Fan Bing Bing

Following announcement of his guest turn on CBS’ Hawaii Five-O, Daniel Henney has now nabbed himself a role as the lead of an upcoming Chinese romantic comedy movie alongside Fan Bing Bing.

In the movie F.I.P (tentative title), Fan Bing Bing plays Michelle, a successful career woman in her 30s. After a birthday party involving one too many drinks, she has a one night stand with one of her party’s guests and finds herself pregnant and having to determine who the father is.

Daniel Henney plays Bill, Fan Bing Bing’s boss, who is among the leading candidates to be the father of Fan Bing Bing’s child. Eva Jin directs the movie.

The movie’s production held its pre-production press conference on October 23 in Beijing where both Fan Bing Bing and Daniel Henney also took part in.

A spokesperson for Daniel Henney’s agency shared, “Even before F.I.P, Daniel Henney received a casting offer for director Eva Jin’s previous effort but because of his schedule was unable to take part.

To convince Daniel Henney for the role, Eva Jin not only visited the set of Daniel Henney’s Shanghai Calling, but made a cameo appearance in the movie as well.”
