2 Sep – Daniel Wu's upcoming movie, "Control", originally titled "Plan to Control the City" is slated for release in cinemas beginning 21 November.

As reported on Hunan TV website, the movie, that also stars Yao Chen, Simon Yam, Leon Dai and Ady An, tells the story of Mark, a man who commits perjury to help his mother, who then finds himself being threatened by a mysterious man who forces him to rob a bank.

However, despite having robbed the bank for him, the mysterious man continues to make life miserable for Mark, resulting in Mark acting on his own to expose the true identity of his tormenter.

Meanwhile, the first concept poster for the action-suspense film was recently released, depicting a person's shadow facing numerous monitoring devices with the silhouette giving it an 'X' shape, while its tagline states, "Man can be controlled. His heart cannot."

Daniel, as well as his good friend Stephen Fung acts as the movie's executive producers.

He expressed, "I wanted to play both the lead star and producer as I am convinced that the movie's idea is fresh and different. I've never seen this kind of movie in Chinese cinemas before, so it felt very special to me."
