A new study has found that we judge a man's character on the colour of his eyes.
The results found that people view men with brown eyes more trustworthy than those with blue, except if those blue eyed boys have a broad-face.
The research, published in journal Plos One, asked participants to rate male and female faces on two features, their eye colour and face shape.
A significant number of those asked found that brown-eyed people seemed much more trustworthy.
But if you are a man with a bigger mouth, larger chin and brown eyes – than you really are on to a winner as that was deemed the most trustworthy of all face shapes.
However when it comes to the ladies, a woman's face shape had no bearing on judging her character.
The problem is, the study can only tell us what we perceive to be more trustworthy, not whether these brown-eyed, wide faced blokes actually are. Sigh. Back to the drawing board…
