Donnie Yen almost exhausted thanks to heat stroke

13 Jul – Donnie Yen may seem like he can bear anything under the sun, but even the workaholic "Ip Man" actor had to rest due to the unbearable heat in Hong Kong.

Oriental Daily website reported that the actor, who was filming an outdoor scene in Tuen Muen, Hong Kong, had to take a break from filming when he slowly turned pale and started sweating profusely.

Concerned that he may be facing heat stroke, Donnie took a small break and drank iced water to cool down before continuing the shoot.

When asked about the scorching weather, Donnie stated, "It was quite hot. I had to sit down for a bit and get some rest. This is nothing special though. I work hard for all my films and I've been in worse situations."

The chatty actor disclosed that he once had a high fever upon returning from filming, but went to work the next day after taking a medicine and rest.
"The pressure I put myself in is worse than anything. I am destined for hard life!" he said jokingly.
