17 Oct – It was revealed that actors Ekin Cheng and Charlene Choi will be reprising their roles through the sequel for their hit movie, "My Wife is Eighteen".
According to Asian Crunch website, the two will be reprising their roles as the nagging husband and teacher Mr. Cheung and free-spirited young wife Yoyo respectively for "My Sassy Husband". In the movie, Cheung and his wife have to deal with the fact that their marriage is on the brink.
When asked about his thoughts on returning to a role that he had left for ten years, Ekin admitted, "I rather enjoy it. This time I am able to understand the character even better because I have the experience of playing him."
He added, "In the first movie, I had to go with the flow, but this time around I already know the character well to play it again."
Meanwhile, Charlene Choi, who played the effervescent Yoyo Ma in the first movie, revealed that reprising the role made her feel like she really was in a marriage for ten years with Ekin Cheng and that both of them have grown up a lot since then.
