Ellen Chan enraged by pregnancy rumour
25 Oct – Hong Kong actress Ellen Chan is furious with the latest rumour that she is trying to conceive through in vitro fertilization (IVF) with actor-comedian Johnson Lee.
According to On CC website, previously, it was reported that the actress had been trying to have a child in order to tie Johnson Lee down, especially since the actor has just broken up with his girlfriend Lukian Wong.
It was also reported that she finally succeeded in getting pregnant through in-vitro fertilisation after a few tries.
However, the 47-year-old actress recently dismissed the pregnancy rumour, saying, "Today's entertainment magazines are unethical and morally corrupt! They completely fabricate news to hurt others just to sell magazines. Every lies they've told hurts a woman's dignity."
She continued, "This is a huge personal attack against me and it has also hurt my friends and family. I am truly hurt this time. It feels like continuously being stabbed with a knife. My heart aches!"
Ellen also stressed that she is currently single and that an IVF is impossible as the Hong Kong government only allows registered couples who are unable to conceive to undergo the procedure.
