EXCLUSIVE: First 'Life of Pi' teaser trailer launched

What would you do if you were stuck on a boat and drifting to the middle of nowhere...with a ferocious tiger? That's what the 'Life of Pi' is about. Check out the first teaser trailer which was launched earlier today (25.07.2012):

Life of PiWatch, as the Life of Pi unfolds before you.

Based on the Booker Prize-winning book by Yann Martel, 'Life of Pi' tells the story of a young man’s  incredible survival at sea against impossible odds. For 227 days, Piscine Molitor "Pi" Patel, an Indian boy from Pondicherry, was forced to fight for his survival after a nasty shipwreck, while stranded on a boat in the Pacific Ocean with a Bengal tiger.

What this two-and-a-half minute trailer is, is that it's a showcase of ground-breaking CGI. Most of the scenes you see in the trailer - the storm, the shipwreck, the ocean and, yes, even the Bengal tiger - are fully computer generated, and the sense of realism is just mind blowing! We don't know about you, but we are willing to bet that 'Life of Pi' would put 'Avatar' to shame.

The movie is filmed entirely in 3D by Oscar-winning director Ang Lee, and stars Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Rafe Spall, and Gerard Depardieu. 'Life of Pi' is set for a 29th November 2012 release in Malaysia.
