"The Four" announces female leads

11 Mar – After much speculation, the female stars of upcoming fantasy-martial arts drama, "The Four", is finally announced.

Jayne Stars website reported that "Hui Jia" actress Janine Chang, Even Wu (also known as Gui Gui), Michelle Bai from "Gong 3", "Liao Zhai 2" actress Jia Qing, and Hao Zejia of "The Warring States" fame have been named the five young actresses that will take on the female leads.

Although viewers are likely most familiar with Janine – who is playing the character Chu Limo in the upcoming drama, the other female leads in "The Four" are also quite experienced actresses. For example, Gui Gui is a popular Taiwanese singer and actress who prefers taking on quirky and bizarre roles, while mainlander Michelle Bai has acted alongside well-known thespians like Chow Yun Fat and Nicholas Tse.

Newcomer Hao Zejia, on the other hand, graduated from The Central Academy of Drama in 2009 and has been playing supporting characters in various dramas since. In "The Four", she will play the younger sister of Cold Blood (Hans Zhang).

In addition to the five female leads, "The Four" will also include special appearances from popular mainland Chinese actresses Tong Liya, Michelle Ye, and Zheng Shuang.

Earlier, only the leading male cast members of the upcoming fantasy-martial arts drama "The Four" were announced to the public, revealing the four good-looking stars – Hans Zhang, William Chan, Yang Yang and Mao Zijun, to play the roles of Cold Blood, Chaser, Heartless and Iron Fist respectively.
