Gigi Leung finds marriage broadens her acting capability

24 Apr – Hong Kong actress Gigi Leung who married Spaniard husband, Sergio back in 2011, denied married life has limited her acting roles, saying that it has instead broaden her capability.

In an interview with Time Out recently, the actress who stars in Pang Ho Cheung's latest film, "Aberdeen" as an unsatisfied wife, stated, "A lot of people think that a married actress will have limits in terms of acting roles, but it's different in my case."

"I found that married life has actually lifted a burden and has enabled me to focus on roles that I really want to play," said Gigi.

The actress, who used to star in romantic comedies in her bachelorette days, stated that she now feels comfortable filming bed scenes and interactions between husband and wife.

"It's so normal to me, because that's what a husband and wife are supposed to do. So even though it's so intimate, it's fine as long as it makes sense," said Gigi, who added that her husband understands her job and her role in a movie.

When asked if she is happy with her married life, Gigi replied saying that she didn't even mind slowing down her career as it helps her do more research on her roles.

In regards to children, Gigi said that she and her husband have no qualms about having babies. "It would be a gift," she said.
