27 Apr – All-male vocal group GReeeeN has announced that they would be holding their first fan event in commemoration with the release of their fourth original album.
According to Tokyo Hive, the event, titled 'Midori Isshoku Utagassen', would be held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya on 27 June. However, fans who are anticipating that the mysterious group would finally make uncover their appearance for the first time would be disappointed that the group members themselves won't be at the event.
Sources have said that in order to preserve their true identities as professional dentists, the four members would not be participating in the event. Instead, they have invited celebrity friends and are planning to use CG imagery and motion-capture to entertain the 3,500 fans expected to be attending.
"We wanted to return the favor to everyone who has continued to support us. So we had a discussion with our staff, and planned this event. Unfortunately, we have our jobs as dentists, so we won't be able to go to the venue. But we are thinking of putting on an entertainment, so we want everyone to enjoy it," said GReeeeN.
This is believed to be the first and last fan event that the group would ever organise.
