12 May – Last year, it was a Taiwanese copycat of SNSD called Super 7. Now, another copycat has been unveiled, except that this group have released a video similar to HyunA's summer hit "Bubble Pop" music video instead.
As revealed on Allkpop, an online community site uploaded a screen capture with the title, "Chinese artist who emulated HyunA's Bubble Pop", causing a stir among fans and netizens alike.
The group in question is called Ziatanbaobei, and they released a single album with title track "NoNoNo" on 20 April in China. The music video shows a bevy of bikini-clad Chinese girls singing and dancing to a song with a similar concept to that of HyunA's "Bubble Pop", including the outfits and dance choreography.
The interesting part of the issue is that while some netizens are enraged with Ziatanbaobei plagiarising the music video of their beloved 4minute rapper, some were sceptical and said that "HyunA was copying Beyonce, so this is just a copycat of a copycat" and that "After Super 7, nothing is surprising anymore."
