Is this a real pontianak caught on tape?

We don't really believe anything we see on the Internet, but this is really creepy.

A video clip shot using a camera phone reportedly shows a pontianak wandering near Bukit Tinggi has been spreading like wildfire on the social networking site Facebook. Watch the video here:

Is this real: a video clip reportedly showing a pontianak wandering near Bukit Tinggi.

The one-and-a-half-minute video shows a creepy figure in a long white dress with long hair standing by the side of the road, before it hovers up into the air and then lands back on the road again. According to the description in the video, the clip was shot at KM 42 near Bukit Tinggi.

But before you go ghost hunting or scare yourself silly, Netizens have debunked the video; saying that it was actually a scene from a 2011 local horror flick called 'Momok: Jangan Panggil Aku'. If it really is a scene from the movie, we're cracking our heads wondering why the clip is only going viral now - a year after the movie was released.

Movie or not; a pontianak (even if it's a fake one) is still creepy!
