Isabella chooses children over film promotions
27 Feb – Despite the fact that her comeback film, "Murmurs of the Heart", has been selected as the opening film at the upcoming Hong Kong International Film Festival, actress Isabella Leong may not be around to promote the film.
According to Mingpao News, the film's director, Sylvia Chang, stated that the actress is currently busy taking care of her three children in Canada.
"She has to take care of her three boys, which will make it difficult for her [to attend the promotions]."
As to whether they will work together again in another project in the long run, Sylvia stated that there will be no chance of collaboration for now, as the actress is busy with her duty as a mother.
However, Sylvia was full of praises for the actress, who had been on a long hiatus since giving birth to her three children with her now ex-boyfriend, billionaire Richard Li.
"She played a Taiwanese girl in the film. It was hard due to the cultural and language differences. But she put in extra effort to make it work," she said.
As to whether the new film will show Isabella's breakthrough performance, Sylvia replied, "Isabella has not been in many movies in the past. But she has gradually matured over the years and wants to become a serious actress."
