Jennifer Lawrence ‘makes dig at Stewart’

Jennifer Lawrence has apparently made a dig at fellow actress Kristen Stewart.

The actress has reportedly claimed she would never cheat on her British actor boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, after it emerged that Kristen had an affair with married Snow White and The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

According to RadarOnline, The Hunger Games star also supposedly told friends that she is aware of directors propositioning young Hollywood actresses.

“Recently, although she didn’t say Kristen’s name directly, she couldn’t resist having a subtle dig at her rival. She told a group of friends that she would never two-time Nicholas," a source revealed to Radar Online. “Jennifer then went on to say that she has received attention from many older men, especially powerful movie directors in the past, and would never want to jeopardise her career by getting involved with a married man. She was clearly referring to Kristen’s liaison with Rupert."

Jennifer and Kristen have reportedly been at war since they both went for the lead role in the big screen adaptation of William Styron’s novel, Lie Down in Darkness. The role was won by Kristen, which was seen as an ideal way for the 22-year-old actress to take her mind off the scandal.

Kristen has been keeping a low public profile recently. Her next appearance in the spotlight will be at The Toronto Film Festival for a special screening of her new movie On the Road.

Meanwhile, Jodie Foster has spoken out to defend Kristen.

The Hollywood legend worked with Kristen on the 2002 movie Panic Room and insists she couldn’t cope with such intrusion into her private life.

“I’ve said it before and I will say it again: if I were a young actor today I would quit before I started," Jodie wrote on her blog.

She added that the scandal will blow over, saying: "Eventually this all passes. The public horrors of today eventually blow away."
