Jessica Simpson is singing the praises of her new bundle of joy and being a new mom!

"I am so in love with baby Maxwell," the 31-year-old star Tweeted on Tuesday night. "I want to cry every time I look at her."

Adding, "Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever experienced."

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jessica and fiance Eric Johnson welcomed their baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, last week in Los Angeles.

"Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson," the star said in a message posted on her personal website. "We are so grateful for all the love support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!"

The couple's baby weighed in at 9 lbs. 13 ounces and measured 21.75 inches.

Baby Maxwell's middle name comes from Jessica's grandmother, Tina Simpson, whose maiden name is Drew.

Jessica and Eric, 32, got engaged in November 2010 after dating for six months.

This is their first child.
