JJ Jia self-directs micro movies

27 Oct – Model-actress JJ Jia recently directed her own micro movies prior to the release of her upcoming album.

According to Yes Asia website, the Hui-Chinese actress, who recently signed with mainland Chinese company Hairun Media, held a press conference on 17 October to announce her upcoming album as well as two self-directed micro movies.

JJ revealed that she not only wrote, directed and starred in the micro movies, she even invited her boyfriend Louis Fan and mother to make special appearances in one of the movies entitled "Heng Piao", which was screened at the press conference.

Meanwhile, her second micro movie, "What Is Love", also featured fellow model-actress Jessica C.

On her album, JJ revealed that Louis not only gave her support by starring in her micro movie, he also assisted her in composing her song, "March Of Travelling Around The World", which was inspired by their experiences from travelling together.

JJ Jia, who debuted under Nat Chan's Snazz Entertainment, left the company after nine years of collaboration in April this year. The departure triggered speculations that JJ was not happy with the way the company paid extra attention to her label mate Carol Yeung, while some alleged that the company was fed up with the actress, who has not been serious about her career since dating Louis Fan.

Her sophomore album will be her first album released through Hairun Media.
