Jolin Tsai injured during pole dancing

24 Dec – It was reported that after an accident that occurred during her upside-down pole dancing practice, Taiwanese diva, Jolin Tsai will not be performing the dance at her Taiwan concert after all.

As reported on Jayne Stars, the singer had to cancel the performance due to an accident during a rehearsal, after plunging headfirst onto the floor from a height of a meter on 20 December.

It was revealed that the singer fell during the practice after her male dancing partner's hand slipped, which left her with a dislocated spine that led to muscle spasms.

According to Jolin's manager, the singer's left hand was injured and she was told to refrain from strenuous activities. However, on 21 December, she was spotted heading to another rehearsal for her concert.

Asked whether her injuries would affect her show, Jolin confidently said "No!"

Later on Weibo, Jolin posted a message that said "Don't stop, never give up!", displaying her determination to give her all.

This was not the first accident Jolin Tsai has had in the name of showmanship. In 2008, she hurt her vertebrae while rehearsing for a gymnastics routine for a concert. In the following year, Jolin distorted her right scapula, strained her thigh muscle, and sprained her right ankle while doing a ballet dance for her new album, "Butterfly".
