Former baseball star and television personality, Kang Byung Kyu has expressed that with regards to Lee Byung Hun suing him for defamation yesterday, he will be filing a countersuit in return.
After hearing that Lee Byung Hun had filed a defamation lawsuit against him, Kang Byung Kyu uploaded relevant information related to the lawsuit and tweeted, “Lee Byung Hun is filing a lawsuit against me for defamation? I thought it was some new idol group. The lawyers you hired have no manners. So what if I am still a defendant? Do you not know the fact that one is considered innocent before the law until proven guilty?”
Kang Byung Kyu continued, “Are you going all out to get lawyers and prosecutors who are close to you to fight the case for you just like last time? Let me tell you, it won’t be that easy this time. You said I falsified information? There’s Twitter now, so I won’t be defeated by you like last time. If you sue me, I will countersue you in return.”
Lee Byung Hun had filed a defamation lawsuit against Kang Byung Kyu on August 20th. Lee Byung Hun’s lawyers stated that after Lee Byung Hun announced that he was dating actress Lee Min Jung through his official website, Kang Byung Kyu started tweeting false and slanderous tweets about Lee Byung Hun.
Although Kang Byung Kyu did not directly tweet Lee Byung Hun’s name, he apparently tweeted, “Pervert Lee, it won’t be long before we hear news about pregnancy”, and more. Given their past fractious relationship, it’s not hard to infer that Kang Byung Kyu was calling out Lee Byung Hun.
