Karlie Kloss’ “playful spirit” made her the first choice to front Juicy Couture’s new campaign.
The model is seen writhing on the beach in the company’s Fall/Winter 12 shots, which were taken by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Among the outfits she sports is a leopard print velour tracksuit.
Juicy Couture creative director LeAnn Nealz was in no doubt that Karlie would nail the shoot.
“We love all that Karlie embodies - her playful spirit and amazing enthusiasm bring so much life to the images,” she said. “She was our first choice to front the new collection and we absolutely adore Inez & Vinoodh's photographs.”
In another shot the model dons skin-tight gold jeans and a tuxedo jacket. She is also pictured in a mini kilt, a pink, white and black paisley jacket and trousers and an animal print fake fur jacket, which is worn with a bold tropical T-shirt.
LeAnn started work with the brand in 2010 and the pictures showcase her efforts to move the label forward.
“When I first arrived everyone's perception of the brand was that we were just a tracksuit," she told vogue.co.uk.
“We've tried to make the brand a bit more sophisticated and elevate the quality of our designs and their details. It feels new and young and rooted in our American Californian spirit. Juicy is definitely pushing new boundaries by expanding our fashion offering - our new jeans, statement outerwear, and fashion pieces are all front and centre of this new campaign.”
