1 Oct – First it was Esther Kwan and Bobby Au Yeung's drama, then there was the tentative Dayo Wong and Dodo Cheng project. And now it is reported that TVB is inviting another trio of former 1980s artistes to film for an upcoming drama starring Kathy Chow, Michael Tse, and Eddie Cheung.
As reported on Popular Asians website, it was revealed that the three stars will be joining the cast of a new law enforcement drama starting in December.
Eddie Cheung – who left the production company in 2002 to focus on his film career, stated that he owed favours from TVB that had developed his acting career. He revealed that even though the new broadcasting station CTI has been making 'love calls' for him to join them, Cheung has decided to stay with TVB for old times' sake.
Eddie Cheung will be playing the lead role with Kathy Chow – who have been filming primarily in mainland China these past few years. Meanwhile, Michael Tse will be shedding his "Laughing Gor" character to play a villain in the upcoming drama.
Although this would be the third collaboration between Kathy Chow and Eddie Cheung, the project will be Cheung's first with Michael Tse.
