Katy Perry fell asleep “completely done up” last night.
The stunning singer dazzled in a pale-coloured dress with elaborate gold detailing on the red carpet at the London premiere of her movie Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D. Katy donned a slightly gothic make-up look of dark smoky eyes and burgundy lipstick, complete with Union Jack themed fake lashes.
However, promoting the documentary all over the world has left Katy tired, and the star took to Twitter to reveal her beauty fail as a result.
“I just woke up sitting up in bed still completely done up! #workinggirl (sic)” she wrote on Twitter in the very early hours of today.
Katy has been doing the promotional trail for her movie and revealed a few style secrets in a TV interview this morning. Not only did the style chameleon name her favourite hair colour, but also explained how her unique fashion sense came to be.
“How dare you make me choose? I like the dark purple because it’s just a hint [of colour], it’s not like too much. It’s not like, ‘Hey I’m a troll [doll],’ like I have been in the past. I was born squirrel brown, it’s a tragedy I wasn’t even born blonde. I’m probably grey underneath all this colour,” she told UK TV show Daybreak.
Speaking of her “embarrassing” love for wacky outfits, the Wide Awake singer said her style developed from hunting for bargains in charity shops.
“I started cultivating it probably out of being poor. I wanted to be unique but I had no means. I started going to charity shops and vintage shops. Whatever I could get with the money I made from playing guitar on the streets, that’s what I bought. And I cultivated this very interesting, somewhat embarrassing style at times,” she said.
