Kelly Osbourne has joked she’s been to hell “17 times”.
The TV star has been bullied over her appearance, spent time in rehab for prescription drug addiction and watched her mother battle cancer.
The 27-year-old says the hard times have made her realise how lucky she is.
“I think I’ve been to hell maybe 17 times in my life. And back!” she laughed on UK TV show This Morning. “You’ve got to start living life on your terms and realising life isn’t perfect and living it your way. You have to make mistakes and learn from them, that is the only way you can grow.”
Kelly is currently dating chef Matthew Mosshart and couldn’t be happier. He has helped her realise what was previously missing from her life.
Kelly went through a high-profile break-up with model Luke Worrall, who she was engaged to, after he was accused of cheating on her.
“I’m very happy in my life, never been happier. You will never understand love until you let someone treat you the way you deserve to be treated. I learnt that the hard way,” she said.
