Kenny Wee loses Charles Heung's backing

3 Jan – With his latest lawsuit spree, it was rumoured that restaurateur Kenny Wee's godfather, Charles Heung, is ready to cut ties with the former.

According to Popular Asians, although it was earlier reported that Kenny is backed by a Hong Kong tycoon in his litigation pursuit, sources claimed that the businessman in person is no other than Charles Heung himself, founder of China Star Entertainment Group.

However, Charles' wife recently debunked rumours of her husband's support, saying that Charles has been long irritated by Kenny's actions and is ready to cut off their connection.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Heung also publicly supported Eric Tsang due to his "kind-hearted nature".

Nevertheless, many believed that Mrs. Heung's recent statement was only made due to her son Jacky Heung's friendship with Eason Chan, husband of Hilary Tsui – the latter being one of the alleged drug abusers in the restaurant scandal, while Oscar Leung's girlfriend, Tina, also works for Heung's company.

At the moment, Kenny Wee has already pressed charges against Eric Tsang for physical assault and Oscar Leung for defamation.
