Kuroki Meisa pregnant, Akanishi Jin punished again

20 Apr – It's only a scandal that is suited for the most scandalous couple in the Japanese entertainment industry, as Kuroki Meisa finally reveals the good news while Akanishi Jin is given more bad news for his career.

According to Tokyo Hive, Kuroki Meisa has finally revealed that she is pregnant, putting an end to much speculation since the sudden announcement of her marriage with singer Akanishi Jin.

Kuroki made the announcement to the media, informing them that she is, in fact, four months pregnant, when the media had been guessing that she was already three months pregnant since the marriage.

"After I had pregnancy symptoms, I suffered from poor health frequently. It was my first time experiencing this, and it was a time of uneasiness," she said to the media, deciding to reveal the good news after being advised by doctors to only make the announcement once she has entered the stable period of her pregnancy.

"Right now, I'm both mentally and physically stable. I'm happy and I'm filled with a sense of responsibility for this new life that I've been blessed with," she added with the baby expected to be delivered in mid-October.

Kuroki is schedule to be appearing on a play in May and would taking her maternity leave to focus on her pregnancy thereafter. She hopes to return to her acting career after delivering the baby but that would depend on her condition after the birth.

On the other hand, things are not going so well for her husband Akanishi Jin, as he has been slapped with another severe penalty by his agency, Johnny Entertainment.

According to sources of Tokyo Hive, Akanishi was in the running to star as the leading character in a remake of Fuji TV's popular drama series "GTO" in February.

However, due to his sudden marriage announcement to Kuroki, Johnny Entertainment had talks with the producers of Kansai TV to have Akanishi dropped from the list of candidates to take the leading role.

Although Kansai TV refused to make an official comment about it, sources told Tokyo Hive that Akanishi who was a 'strong candidate' for the role has now become a 'definite that is his name is not listed as a candidate anymore'.

Last month, Akanishi was punished by his agency by cancelling his nationwide tour scheduled in May, and have made him responsible for bearing the cost of the cancellation at each of the locations he was to perform.
