Lee Byung Hun and Im Soo Jung appointed as Gwangju Biennale Honorary Ambassadors

Actor Lee Byung Hun and actress Im Soo Jung attended a ceremony at the Geumnam-ro Park Cultural Centre on July 3rd where they were appointed as Honorary Ambassadors for the ‘2012 Gwangju Biennale’.

Since its inception in 1995, the ‘Gwangju Biennale’ has been known as a representative arts extravaganza in Asia. By choosing Lee Byung Hun who has been active on a global stage and Im Soo Jung, they are hoping for more exposure for the extravaganza.

Lee Byung Hun has been catching attention on the global stage with his myriad of movie roles in the past decade. Despite his busy schedule, he has also taken out time to be ambassadors for the UNICEF and Africa charity movements.

Meanwhile, Im Soo Jung is known to have an interest in various forms of arts. She also recently participated in a recent global arts festival where she acted in a short film with Korean producers. She also showed her love for the arts by encouraging promising young Koreans with the talent to step forward and produce more works for the people.

The ‘2012 Gwangju Biennale’ will be held with the theme of ‘Round Table’ from September 7th to November 11th at the Gwangju Biennale Hall, lasting 66 days.
