11 Sep– It was revealed that the production company of the movie "Gabi" won their lawsuit, resulting in court ruling for actress Lee Da-hae to pay damages to the plaintiff.
As reported on Kpopfever website, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favour of Ocean Film - that Lee Da-hae was indeed chosen for the leading role of "Gabi" and had make a verbal agreement for her participation but refused the role 10 days or so prior to production. The "Miss Ripley" actress was made to pay the total of KRW 21,000,000 (approx. USD 19,000) to the production company.
The stated amount was justified as the cost and compensation of costume production, part of the staff labour costs, and several other stated damages. The Court also found Lee Da-hae to be 40% liable to the delaying of filming "Dabi".
In December 2010, Lee Da-hae made an agreement to participate in Ocean Film's movie, "Dabi" but decided to refuse the role later on. In February 2011, the production company filed a lawsuit, claiming breach of contract against the actress.
