Lee Philip as a Goryeo Dynasty Physician for Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun’s ‘Faith’
An official first look at Lee Philip in Character for SBS’ Faith has been revealed.
In Faith, Lee Philip plays Jang Bin, Goryeo Dynasty’s most renowned physician. Described as cold, yet charismatic, his character is the top medical exeprt in the Goryeo Dynasty while also possessing a distinguished military service record.
Among the preview pictures released, Lee Philip is seen hard at work treating a wounded warrior while donning blood-stained clothes.
On his character, Lee Philip shared, “The drama’s Jang Bin is a remarkable character with great self-reliance and focus who believes he must be the best in his field. He’s a flawless and cool-headed character and his medical skills are like a suit of armor with no gaps in between. However when it comes to interacting with others he shows some gaps and has a lot of hidden merits.”
The actor also shared his vision for his acting in the drama saying, “Through this drama I will work to show a more diverse and improved side of myself to viewers.”
Faith will tell the story of the Goryeo Dynasty warrior Choi Young (Lee Min Ho) and a present-day cosmetic surgeon Eun Soo (Kim Hee Sun) who is brought to the Goryeo Dynasty.
Through her healing of the king’s subjects the two helps transform the king into a genuine king. The drama will premiere on SBS on August 13.
