Lindsay Lohan is apparently being chased by a lawyer who is adamant he can save her from jail.
The actress has been accused of misdemeanour charges of reckless driving, lying to police and obstructing officers after her rented sports car crashed into a truck in June 2012.
She is due to stand trial on March 18 and has already turned down several deals which would have seen her avoid prison in favour of a stay in rehab or house arrest.
Lindsay has also experienced problems within her legal team, including splitting from her long-term attorney Shawn Chapman Holley. Her new lawyer Mark Heller is from New York and has been criticised by a judge for not knowing enough about Californian law.
According to TMZ, west coast attorney David Wohl is keen to start working with Lindsay.
He apparently believes he is "the one who can save" the 26-year-old star from spending time behind bars. The lawyer was reportedly scoped out by Lindsay's father Michael Lohan, who she has a troubled relationship with.
However, the website reports Lindsay is yet to agree to him becoming a member of her team. Despite this, David is said to have been in touch with Mark on pretty much a daily basis.
"Even if [Lindsay] doesn't [give David her seal of approval], Michael has asked Wohl to show up in court anyway to force the issue," TMZ claims.
Mark has seemingly been working hard to get Lindsay a plea bargain, with several options - such as a prolonged rehab stint and 90 days under house arrest - already being dismissed by the star. She is apparently adamant she has done nothing wrong so does not see why she should spend any time locked up.
Lindsay was on probation stemming from a 2011 jewellery theft case at the time of the crash.© Cover Media
