Lohan misses flight to White House

Lindsay Lohan has missed her scheduled flight to Washington D.C. to attend a prestigious supper.

The Hollywood star was invited to the annual White House Correspondents Dinner, an American tradition that has been upheld by journalists since 1920.

TMZ reports that the actress did not board the airplane scheduled to depart from Los Angeles around midday Friday. George Clooney and Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Holley were able to make it to the airport on time and left at the scheduled hour.

Lindsay was reportedly partying until dawn with Paris Hilton the night before at a wild bash in a private home in the Hollywood Hills for the second day in a row.

Fox News correspondent and inviter Greta Van Susteren previously told the website why she asked Lindsay to attend Saturday’s dinner.

“I love comebacks, and I'd like her to succeed,” Greta said. “She's got a new movie and I'm hoping things work out for her.”

Lindsay has recently been confirmed to take on the lead role as Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime Original Movie, Liz & Dick.

The actress has also wrapped up filming a special guest appearance for TV show Glee this week.

She was recently taken off formal probation for a host of misdemeanours, but is on informal probation until May 2014.
