Yay! Pictures have started emerging from the set of Sofia Coppola's forthcoming teen jewellery heist movie The Bling Ring! And we have to say, there's something a little big Gossip Girl about the looks worn by Emma Watson and her various co-stars..
As we previously mentioned, the film is based on a group of fame-obsessed teenage burglars who broke into celebrities’ homes in Los Angeles in 2008 and 2009. Over the course of a year, the teenagers stole $3million in cash and belongings from stars in including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox. Paris bore the brunt of their crime spree – with a $2million jewellery heist. Vanity Fair called the crimes ‘completely unprecedented in the history of Hollywood.’
We all know crime doesn't pay, and yet... in the movie at least, these girls seem to have some pretty sweet accessories - including Watson's black Hermes Birkin and some killer heels [spoiler alert for those tempted to turn to the dark side: the gang get jailed].
Anyway, the film looks tons of fun and we know Sofia Coppola is brilliant at portraying girls out-of-control (and creating AWESOME soundtracks - we're sure this one is going to be major). We'll keep you updated as more images come in...
