Maarten van der Horst was one of the standout stars of his year at Central Saint Martins – which is no small feat when you’re jostling alongside the taste-makers of the future. The Dutch designer went straight on to showing at Fashion East after graduating, the fashion initiative run by Lulu Kennedy, which has nurtured the talent of designers from Christopher Kane to Roksanda Illincic.
Following in his predecessors footsteps, Maarten has designed a high street capsule collection in association with Topshop. The seven piece range features all of his signatures, from Hawaiian inspired prints to industrial fabrics.
So what’s on our wishlist? A single breast boxy jacket in jacquard, high waisted Bermuda shorts and one of Maarten’s token Hawaiian shirts, then we’ll try some of his silk dresses when we’re feeling a little more girly.
