After previously saying she lost her baby weight through healthy eating and moderate exercise, Mariah Carey decided that was just too darn sensible and so is now only eating purple food three days a week.

The American Idol judge has adopted the colour themed diet in order to lose her Christmas weight.
A source told Now magazine, 'It's all about foods like plums, red grapes and aubergine.
'Her favourite meal is a Cajun-spiced aubergine dish that her husband Nick [Cannon] makes.
The source added, 'She's lost 10lb, and loves it because for she can eat whatever she wants the rest of the time.'
