19 Oct – When aboriginal Taiwanese pop singer A-Mei appeared at the grand finale of "The Voice of China", the audience and her fans were shocked to see her dramatic increase in weight, leading some to speculate that it was caused by her bartender beau, Sam, according to Asian Pop News.
This was because when A-Mei first entered into a relationship Sam in February last year, she still had her slim figure. It was until she opened her pub "A Bar" that her figure started to lose shape, as she was often seen entertaining her showbiz friends, Tanya Chua and Na Ying, at her pub, and alcohol consumption has been known to lead to the weight gain.
Her dramatic increase in weight became a popular subject of discussion at online forums, with netizens mocking her swollen figure. However, it seems that A-Mei is not perturbed by this, as she has just invested into her third night club, "A Light", which is estimated to open next month, and will reportedly allow Sam to run her new business.
In addition, she and Sam are shown to be happy together, as the couple was spotted shopping together in Taiwan. Sam was also spotted with A-Mei on a flight to Guangzhou for her concert and at the post-concert celebration last week.
