Has Mia Wasikowska Bagged A Part In 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire'?

We’ve had the teasers for the last (FINAL!) Twilight and we’re hungry for more, so the news that blockbuster trilogy rival, The Hunger Games, are about to start filming their second instalment this summer in Atlanta, Georgia, couldn’t come any sooner.

We all fell a little bit in love with Jennifer Lawrence after seeing her play kick-ass Katniss Everdeen and seeing all her looks on the red carpet, but now director Francis Lawrence, who will be taking over from the first film’s Gary Ross, is choosing between Mia Wasikowska and upcoming model/actress Zoe Aggeliki for the role of Johanna Mason.

We’re rooting for 22-year-old Mia because can you imagine the red carpet fash-downs between her, Jennifer Lawrence and Elizabeth Banks!? The Australian actress has become quite the fashion darling since playing literary icons, Alice in Wonderland and Jane Eyre (remember W’s April 2011 cover with her and Fassbender? Simply stunning), appearing on the front rows of all the fashion shows and is seen being snapped with the likes of Anna Wintour and Rooney and Kate Mara. We’re already foreseeing lots of Miu Miu since Mia was the face of their Spring/Summer 2012 campaign for her red carpet choices...

As Katniss’ only female ally in the ring, District 7 tribute (if you don’t already understand all this lingo, seriously, buy the books), Johanna Mason is going to be a big name in the next two films. Fellow tribute Finnick Odair is set to be another big casting and Hollywood heartthrobs, Taylor Kitsch, Garrett Hedlund and Armie Hammer have been connected to the role already. Hello, Hunger Games-mania.
