Michael Tse denies collaborating with Johnnie To

4 Jun – "E.U." actor Michael Tse recently denied collaborating with famed director Johnnie To, following rumours that the two of them were in talks to work on a new project.

As reported on Jayne Stars, the actor, who recently decided not to renew his TVB contract this July, was rumoured to have met the "Blind Detective" director for a new project, after first revealing his hopes of working with Johnnie to the media recently.

The rumours were then fuelled by the news that Michael has completed preliminary negotiations to sign with Hairun Pictures, a Beijing-based production company that Johnnie To is a part of.

To this, Michael Tse said, "All rumours. They're not true". However, the actor added, "But if To Sir wants me to do a movie, that will be the best!"

Meanwhile, it was reported that Michael is willing to work with TVB again if the station agrees to sign him under a per-series contract for at least HKD 50,000 per episode. However, Michael is doubtful that TVB will fulfil this condition.
