Model Girls to debut single in Oct

18 Sep – Oscar Promotion's new female group Model Girls is set to release their debut single this October, according to Tokyo Hive.

Not only will the debut single of the 8-member group "ROCK STAR" will be released on 24 October in Japan, it will also be released in the United States and 20 other countries.

"I'm very happy that we are fulfilling one of our dreams of expanding our activities internationally," said member Obana Kie.

Group leader Nakamura Sakura said that the group's goal is to perform at Tokyo Dome and Kohaku someday.

Model Girls was formed in May this year, as ambassadors of 'Model Gymnastics'; a body-shaping method that focuses on 'beautiful posture', 'walking' and the waist. The group's eight members were selected out of 6,000 girls.

Like their namesake, all of them boast an average height of 175cm.
