Myolie Wu to star in "The Vinegar Lady"
27 Jul – TVB actress Myolie Wu, who had just completed the filming of upcoming drama, "Rosy Business 3: No Reserve" and is currently promoting "Triumph In The Skies II", has been named the lead actress for a new TVB series titled "The Vinegar Lady".
As reported on HK Channel, the actress, who will commence filming for the new mainland drama, "Love" in Beijing this coming August, will return to Hong Kong in November to begin filming for TVB's new period drama, produced by Poon Ka Tak of "Triumph In The Skies" fame.
A source stated, "TVB revealed their plan to produce "The Vinegar Lady" earlier this year, which was rumoured to be the third instalment of "Wars Of The In-laws". But due to Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong's breakup in July 2012, TVB had to delay filming."
In addition to Myolie Wu, "Tiger Cubs 2" actor Him Law has also been confirmed to be playing a role in "The Vinegar Lady", his very first period drama.
When asked on her thoughts about working with Him Law, Myolie, who never actually shared a lot of scenes with Him despite working together on "Season Of Love" and "Triumph In The Skies 2", expressed, "It will be something new. The two of us have attended promotional activities together before, and I think he is a pretty nice guy. I am hoping for a beautiful collaboration."
